I was looking for a way to use .htaccess to cause a file to be automatically included on every page in a directory. I've only seen this once before on a website I took over and at the time it was annoying because I couldn't get rid of the script that kept running and the htaccess was the last place I thought to check. So I never took note. Now methinks it could be useful, but I can't find it anywhere in any documentation.

I'm an an Apache Redhat Linux server, in case anyone cares.

well... the version of the apache (1 or 2) would have been more important.

That's the one. And it does a hell of a lot more than I originally thought. I think I'm in love with .htaccess. Will society be able to accept my cross object love affair? What will the children look like?
