Isn't it MCSE? Or am I thinking about something else?

Get yourself a hard-cover ledger, and write and write and write...write as much as a you about as many things as you can in the subject. Get extra resources, and write those in there too...becuase if the Microsoft courses are anything like the Cisco ones, they won't want you printing any of their online materials, and they expect you to keep a written journal of your work, and your activities in the course. The bigger the journal, the happier they are with you.

Now, this gets increasingly hard for me, becuase the carpul tunnel syndrome I developed during those years as a data entry clerk makes it very, very hard for me to write for long periods...but I persevere, becuase i have no choice.

http://www.trandumper.com for all your test prep. needs.

If you don't have any experience, the tests will be much more difficult. You sometimes need to know WHERE a setting is (what dialog box). So have a test server and test workstation handy. If you're taking the MS MOC classes, you should get at least a time locked copy of the server software, etc.

I am about to do a 12 week 'MCP' module course and found these 2 useful sites...

First one is full on info and a forum where you can gat extremely specific data, answers.... test papers bblah blah blah..
http://www.petri.co.il/index.htm

.. and this has a great series on online tests and exams for sharpening you skills... (it's in Dutch or something but the online testing part is all in English)
http://www.nt-admin.com/ntadmin/test/test.asp

..and er.. you have to practically totally imerse yourself in this subject up tp your neck..

Good luck..

Yep - if you a 'test' environment to play with, that really helps. The tests are fairly easy if you know the stuff. For my first MCSE (I have three), I took three tests on one day, and three the next.

Trandumper and Transcender testing software will tell you when you're ready for the tests. Stay away from books by Exam Cram. Sybex books are good, from what I've heard.
