hahah, so you actually went.. excellent.. I too found Paris extremely pretty and scenic.. ..fantastic if your a painter or visual artist. But at the same time extremely lonely and quite lacking in warmth. Many of my friends had the same experience of the city being quite stunning but locals being rather cold and unfriendly. I have dozens of French friends that have left Paris for good and have a sour taste of that city. I didn't like Paris at all.

Now Rome or Barcelona?.. that's a whole other story...

By the way, I'll have my laptop with me, does anybody know if there are any wireless hotspots in Paris that I could use?
I need to find a fast and easy way to post the pics to my site ;-)

Sash: AFAIK, there's some WIFI in the big train stations ( mainly in the : Gare du Nord, Gare St Lazare, Gare de Lyon, I'm not sure about the Gare de l'Est ) , in one or two lines of bus and in some 'trendy' bars.
