Took about an hour, but I was *really* tired so I could have made it faster...

Looks like I played pong with myself^^

Comments appriciated. I'm just 12 years old now (13 in sep.) so don't be too cruel.

Cruelty is such a vague term. Whereas some people see cruelty, I just see justice imparted

I won't deny I really wished I had your skill back when I was 12 and not until I turned 16. However, it seems to me like you were just experimenting with bevels and some wind/smudge tricks. i'd just stick with teh top part (no need for the mirrored lower part), and add right below your username the year. I suggest picking just variations of blue, and the white beveled shape probably add some sort of texture, and perhaps rather than white, another blue-ish gradiation. if you want it more intense, rather than using blue for the glow, use Orange. Unlike what school has thaught us, the opposite/complimentary color of blue is orange, not red.

Hvae you tried any of the texture tutorials on teh faq? They may help you to understand a bit better soem things, and help you spice up your current work. Also try messing with lighting.

nice eriku... I know what it feels like to be a growin artist. I was 12 when I made my first grunge website. I'm now 16 and I've got like what 12-13 sites on me belt. A little advice, if you were trying to make a chrome effect well try to work on the contour of the bevel you made, it would make the whole effect just burst out. I think the gurusnetwork got one tutorial on curves.
