Hi,
Can I set basic authentication parameters to the header when redirecting to a different URL using a client side javascript?

My problem is in IE6 with the security patch of microsotf that not supports basic authentication through URL

I.E.

http://user:password@server:port/uri...

I've heard about this too, however on my recently patched IE6 (20040430) it seems to work so I havn't experienced it.

Annoying as it is, I havn't heard of any way around it.
