I asked this question in gurusnetwork but I have been unable to log back in lately. So forgive me for being repetative. The links given to me there were somewhat of a help but I don't think I explained well enough the style it was that I was looking for.

here's some DHTML in which the menu is set up how I would like mine to be.

I was hoping I could get do this in CSS with a:hover and display:inline attributes.

EDIT: there would be no need for a sliding drop down effect. I'm just looking for it to appear horizontally below the Menu Header.

Well...you could get the same thing with some javascript and CSS, I believe...

The javascript I can't help you with, but the CSS on the other hand...
