Ok this is like the 50th layout I've made for my site and around the 6th one I've uploaded but I kinda like it. I hope Suho1004 doesn't mind the layout it was sort of inspired by his Liminality...

Tell me what you think. There are a few bugs mainly Mozilla and Fire Fox, gotta work on those.

The page looks good, nice and clean layout. The choice of colors is good, but nothing really spectacular.

I like the way you did the menu, very elegant. Only thing that bugs me about it is that the link leading to the current page should be styled different from the other links - so the user has an easier time to figure out where he is on the page. You might also try to increase the font size a little bit, it can be a bit hard to notice at first.

You should add some more left margin to the body text. Remenber that whitespace is your friend.

There are still a couple of minor issues with FireFox 0.9. In the canvas section some images float a little too freely.

In the 'journal' section I would add a permanent link to each entry. I see that you have a entry number, so you should transform that into a link that always loads the current entry. It is a good practise, since people can then use that link to reference your journal entries.

Code wise there is one thing you should change. Use <p> tags, don't use double <br /> tags to separate the paragraphs. Except from that the code look good

Well this is just a start. I'm working on some skins for the site, might be up by v2. I had a lot of trouble with the navigation in Mozilla and FF but it looks decent now.

I have alot of issues with the gallery, but I'll see to them. I'm confused by one thing though:

Permanent link to what. the new entry?

I meant a permanent link to the current journal entry. For example my journal entry about Starting with Python can always be reached with the following url: http://www.golden-ratio.net/archive/14 .The same kind of system can be found on most kinds of blogs. As I said before; it makes it easier for other people to reference your journal entries. Because if they today link to you journal page and say something fancy about it, it might be irrelevant in a couple of days if the journal entry they link to change.

Noticed another thing; remove the highlight used when the text is clicked. It servers no purpose and is, in my opinion, irritating.
