Try creating a user id on the w2k domain that is the same as the one you you are logged into the NT doamin. Try to connect from NT to w2k. Should work.

You may need to explicitly add the WINS server IP on the NT domain for your local machine.

Go to Control Panel->Network and Dial Up connections (assuming you're using Win2k on your machine)

Right-click your local connection and go to Properties.

Select TCP/IP and click on Properties.

Click on Advanced.

Click on the WINS tab.

Click Add and enter the IP address of the WINS server on the NT domain (usually the primary domain controller).

This should allow you to authenticate to the NT domain.
