if i wanted an ordered list like so;

1.1 something
1.2 something else
1.3 yet another something

all the way to 1.30 or thereabouts how would i do it?

The only types of ordered lists i found are

[ol type="1"]
[ol type="I"]
[ol type="a"]
[ol type="A"]
[ol type="i"]

which don't solve my issue. Please help.

I just did a quick google for decimal ordered list because I was curious about this and never seen anything like it but it would make alot of sense. As far as I can tell it can't be done without some kinda scripting like PHP or java or whatever your taste might be. Like I always say I have been wrong before and I may be wrong again. Anyone please feel free to correct my ignorance.

This is the closest I could find using styles http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/generate.html#counters

This example shows a way to number chapters and sections with "Chapter 1", "1.1", "1.2", etc.
