Does anyone know why the sidebar on my site changes width on some pages.

(The left border doesn't stay still, it changes position on all pages.)

Weird - it looks fine to me (in IE6, at least) on all the top-level pages (Log, Archives, Author, Links), and doesn't move at all.

What browser are you having the trouble in?

I looked at this early this morning and I did notice a small change in the table width. Why ??? i haven't the slightest clue.
but Billy is right about the table also shifting due to the scroll bar that appears on some pages. Your site looks clean and I don't think many people will notice it. But if you do figure out what's going on lemme know.

well I only see a change when there is any content in the sidebar (say, log v. links pages). I also see that you have the td width set in two places, in your css and in the <td>. perhaps they are conflicting a bit when there is no content in sidebar.

also, I see that you have height for content td, but not sidebar td. don't know how that would have an effect, but it is a difference. also, I have often had bad results with the &nsp as place holders.

no magic bullet, just a few ideas.
