The prof for our Multimedia & Web Design class asked me to look into Macromedia Director and other media authoring software. I haven't worked with any of these before, so does anybody have any recommendations or critiques? I kept asking what specifically we needed from it, but he just kept saying to look into Director and what it cost, and maybe some other stuff too. So your guess is as good as mine.

Thanks,
LF

Probably you want to compare it with Premier and see which capabilites one has and the other hasn't. Price will be about the same for both.

Also take a look at U-lead. I'm not sure they have a product for video editing, but they have a number of alternative products that may be helpful.
