I'm trying to create css layout that is cross browsable... I'm having a hard time combining two divs together to make it seem like one. In the first div I will have links and I want the links to flow down into the other div also... To see what I'm talking about go to: http://www.maxforcepc.com/personal/index.php

The way I have it now is I have two nested divs. The back div has a background image and the nested div has a footer image(this is where my links are) The problem that I'm having is I can't see the back div's backgound image. I read something on this forum for transparency but I don't think it's going to be cross browsable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Well, I've looked and looked, and read and re-read, and I cannot figure out what it is you actually want, or what specifically the problem is.

It seems one part of what you want is to see the div that is "behind" one of the other divs. In that case, simply specify your background for the "front" div as "transparent".

Byond that, you'll have to elaborate a great deal on what you're actually trying to accomplish.

Yeah - maybe mock something up in Photoshop or something that looks like what you want it to look like - it would be much easier to have a point of departure like that before we can start talking about how to do it with divs.

It seems like you may have gotten where you wanted to be, from what I read. Is the problem still there?
