howdy folks,

i've got a little home-made webpage on my desktop that i use for a special search and replace for publishing stuff for work... and although firefox is my default browser, i want to open the page up in explorer (which does the whole javscript cut and paste thing).

Do you guys know any way i can make a shortcut to c:/mypage.html to open in IE all the time, but keep firefox as my default browser?

Make a shortcut to IEXPLORE.EXE (in program files/internet explorer). Go into the shortcut properties and add the location of the webpage to the end of the "target" field in the "shortcut" tab:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" "C:\mypage.html"

And that should open the page in IE.

Thanks slime,

I figured the solution would be something like that, but i didn't know what exactly.

Works like a charm!
