I guess if you have the grey box around it disappear the glowing edges might make it look rather cool - especially if you take the sig out of the horizontal and angle it lightly upwards (15-25 degrees) it could have a good effect.

that's strange bodo_baby I don't see the grey box around it that you are talking about but I think I will angle it when I get back to the office.

There is a grey box that the word appears in. I think that .png files only have partial support for transparencies perhaps? You'd need to make it a .gif if you want it to be transparent for everyone. I see the box as well, and it's glaring against the forum atm.

I'm not so sure how angling the text would look, but try it and see how it looks. It's always worth a shot to try anything.

.png files have fantastic transparency, so long as you are viewing them in a browser that supports .png files properly

ie does not, unfortunately.

That aside, I like it. straightforward, clean simple, unobtrusive. A keeper...

Nice sig. Perfectly matches the color scheme. And it has a "Prince of Persia" look.
The bottom leg of the S is a bit too thin and seems almost cut by the orange glow.
The padding in your sig puzzles me too. There's already some padding in the TDs of Asylum. Don't waste some precious pixels

And your sig would rock if there was a smooth animation in the black & blue body of the letters. Or why not showing a character passing by and seen through the letters every 2-5 seconds ( I'm dreaming ). But it's already pretty cool.

I would really love to animate this image with something like that, I modelled a magnifying glass and a paperclip man in pov ray that I would really like to integrate into one of my sigs but I am kinda new to photoshop and pov-ray(still working on the transparent backgrounds for pov-ray), plus I cannot find my copy of image ready. So that will have to wait.

I seen what you were talking about with the orange glow problem and I fixed it. I also cut back the padding by switching my layers around. And over all I think it looks much better myself, although I might play around with a different blue later.

Actually, I like the previous version better. It looked a lot cleaner and cutting off part of the "S" looked kind of cool.

I also think that you don't have to add animation since it works well as a static image, but that's a subjective thing.

I do agree that you need to get rid of some of the wasted space. It'll cut your file size down as well.

Nice work Seymour. If I had to choose between "seymour-logo" and "seymour-logo2" I would choose the former. Has the orange hue changed colour? It looks like it has.

IMHO, the new blue is too bright.
silence: adding a subtle animation would be the cherry on a the cake, or the chery on an already pretty sig.
