This is my first attempt at an animated sig so it's not great...and I'm not sure if it's transparent. Inspired by a classic screensaver.
Your thoughts?

If you can't see it, you can view it here.

[Edit - OK, it's not transparent. I can't make it so, so I need to make the background the same as the Asylum's. I know the RGB value is 43:4:4 but does anyone know the other three values - Saturation, Hue and the other one which I can't remember?]

Nice.
You should also crop it. There's a lot of space wasted at the top and on the right.

Regarding the color values, you just need them in one "mode" ( RGB, or HSL, or LAB, or CMYK ... ) not on several. Anyway, IIRC 43:4:4 is the median color of the light and dark background colors of the Asylum. So the dark red bar will remain visible. It'd really look better if you make it really transparent. To make it so, you must check the checkbox labelled "Transparency" in ImageReady:

If need be, any inmate ( including me ) could make it transparent if you don't have access to graphic program handling transparency.

Thanks for the advice. Later I'll either crop it or make it move around the screen more. I'll post it here when it's done.
I don't have software that can make it transparent as far as I know, you're welcome to make it so, or anyone else who can for that matter (after I've fixed the space problem obviously).

Sorry, I completely forgot about this and haven't done anything. I'm also going to have the cheek to not do it now because I gotta go
Still, I doubt anyone is exactly hanging on my every word with bated breath, getting a nice 43:4:4 coloured tan from the screen, constantly refreshing the page to see if I'm posting, a forgotten week-old piece of food halfway to their mouths. So I'll fix it later.

*exasperated sigh*
The program I used for this has expired, because it was free - I can't be bothered to download it again and finish the sig, and I've lost interest anyway...so maybe I should just call it a day on this sig and wait for a Mad Scientist to close it down. I surrender.

GIMP IT!

Gimp is open source and a great program for transparency.

Open new file with transparent background.

Make your layers.

Then, just double click on the layer name in the layer dialog box and put (100ms) after it or whatever speed looks best.

You can test the animation with filters > Animation > Playback...

there is also Optimize (difference), Optimize (for GIF), and of course UnOptimize
