First of i have to say i´m really impressed with all your work.
Its mindblowing for a guy like me.

I followed the decay tut and i got it pretty good.
Same with the animated fire tut.
Need to practise a bit more on that one though.

Now, I saw you´r sig page and i feel i just have to learn more.
But many things i think that this is just impossible.
Although i know it isn´t, since the sig´s are there.

So the one where you have made your name reflect in the water number 53 in your sig archive.
How did you do that animation?

Now, I understand if you are busy and/or tired of ppl asking you about you´r animation over and over.
But i had to ask at least.

In any case you´r doing great stuff!

I'd imagine it would be easier for him to point you in the right direction etc.. if you show what you've done so far. Do your best attempt at that watery text. Also its shows you're putting in the effort yourself.

oh and watch how you spell you're and your

Thx, Hugh.....
First of all i am glad that you dare to correct me on my lanuage............
I am bad at english, and i am glad for whatever english i could pick up on the way.
So thank you for that!

Yes.... i agree with you about showing something for Mahjqa, but i haven´t done anything yet with this aqua anim we are talking about.

As i said, i did the decay tut, and i did the fire tut, and i just asked Majhqa if he wanted to share how he did that aqua(h20)nr53(and maybe a link) couse i really wanted to get a grasp of that.

But if Majhqa........... is to busy, thats ok.
I know what its like to be busy.
Maybe i figure it out.
Maybe i won´t

Anyway as i have no clue how to start, xept how to copy the pic/text and make it mirror, maybe i could......................OR i would say, I COULD anim it.
But at what cost?

I dont think i have the skills compared to Mahjqa.
My anim would probably be somewhat jumpy.

So thats why i ask.
Why start with something...........
actually i did..........
when i see that it doesn´t work.........
i tryied.....
but it was fugly......

O well, im a bout and togheter again .........
and i give you another anim............ strate frome the source.

I ask for only one thing!
Don´t judge me.

I *was* going to write a hugeass post here on the how & what, but in the last days I still haven't found the time...

But to point you in a direction, the distorting effect of the water was done with the displace filter. I recommend that you read this tutorial and try it, to see if you can figure out how I tackled the problem.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, I hope I cna be a little more thorough in a few days.

But then again i never tryied zippers thing there, thx moonshadow, i will try that out.
IF some one really NEEDS to take a look at what i have done so far i will post it.
But its not nice, and i think its a bit big aswell-18 and 30k.

I will however keep practicing and yet again thx a bunch guys.
And ofcourse whenever i get it right i will post it in this thread.

So here is what i came up with after 3 tryies.
The first two i did for another forum with a different bgr.
And i got at least the bgr good, learned how to find out avarage color in a forum.
But the acctual anim wasn´t that good.
It will be interesting to see what the bgr color makes for the anim.

Also i find it a bit square!?
At least the bottom part where the animated stuff is.
I would like it to flow out more if i make my self understod.

Anyway thx a bunch for answering all kinds of questions.
And as i always said ill keep on practising.
And of course comment are welcomed.

[edit]
Oh btw, on all 3 attempts i had to remove the first frame to make it more smoth!?¡¿

Good work man and keep it up!

He is my mentor, wether he likes or not.
I first sign up here in 2002 and learned a lot from him.
I try to give something back, but the guys here at asylum is great artist´s and i always walk by here when i can to learn stuff.
And i guess if i ever go business i would own it all to them

Mentor? As in "I'll solely train you and you are under my special care" mentor? I think not.

I'll just hand out advice to anyone who asks. The folks at the asylum here have done the same for me, and I'll happily do the same.
