I just got wordpress up and running, and main I'm impressed. It may take awhile for me to get comfortable with the templates, so I have a nasty ugly page right now. Just curious if there are any inmate who use wordpress as well?

Yep, I sure do, for my blog at http://sunday.yarinareth.net

The template on there is new, designed and made by yours truly a couple of months back, and yes, you're right ,the default template is uuuuuuugly.

I have been using it as well, and so far have been quite happy. I am still on the hunt for a decent photo/image gallery plugin for it. Writing is all fine and dandy, but would love to put up photo galleries at some point.

Still using the default template, haven't had time to really get something looking "sassy".

Well I finally got rid of the default style sheet. Admitedly not my best work though. http://www.dirtystyled.com

Btw Skaarjj, I too got hit by that poker spammer. However instead of resorting to moderating posts, I turned on the spam filter and tweaked it a bit. He hasn't been back since. here are my settings:

Add 'texas holdem' and 'fallacies of man' to that list and you've pretty got my spam filter list. Mine doesn't seem to work right (but then my wordpress installation is riddled with bugs for some reason, must upgrade the installation at some point to a more stable one) and mostly doesn't work at all, so I simply moderate my comments.

I've been using WP for a few months now. I use it in conjuction with MarsEdit and NetNewsWire (http://ranchero.com) and am really happy with the results thus far. I'm using a very slightly modified stock style.

I have used wordpress for a while, but I find the documentation to be sorely lacking. I generally take the light version template they supply, strip it down bare, and include it in another php page. IMO, a blog should exist as a subset of my website, not the other way around. If the documentation were more complete I'd probably do some templating.
