Could anyone please tell me how to insert layers?

Im trying to insert the scroll box into the layout but the layout keeps overlapping it.

Hi Felicia,

Welcome to the Asylum. A nurse will be along shortly with a straight jacket and some pills.

I'm not sure what you're asking. I think what you are trying to do is to put the list from right.html into the red box on the graphic of pretty.html. If that is what you're trying to do, put the html for the list into pretty.html and add #page1 {z-index: 10} to the style sheet for pretty.html. That will cause the list to display on top of the graphic.

By the way, that graphic is HUGE. I work on a dial-up line and it took about five minutes for it to display. You might want to cut down the size.

the list now displays on top of the graphic but the scroll over arrows are still under it

argh never mind my last post

it's now all on top off the graphic but it doesnt scroll anymore and the text has disappeared

I've been trying to get a working scroll box for the longest I suck

Hi Felicia,

I know you say you're not ver experienced with creating web pages, but I'm going to throw you in the 'briar patch' , so to speak.

To see a good example of a page with developer created (and controlled) scrolling go to http://www.ozones.com/ look at the page source and pay particular attention to the JavaScript links. Look at the content of the files in the JavaScript links. THis will show you how the page was made to scroll.
