Hi there (and some: hi again)

I discovered an amazing thingy in a website I built. When I view a page online in Firefox it works perfectly. The menu consists of layers (div) because I wanted a rollover over the entire page and you can see the result here:

Then I put the entire website in frames because I personally like it when a site is centered on the page. The result is like this:

All of a sudden the rollovers stop working and I don't have the sllightest clue why. So therefor: help?

1) I don't see any rollovers on either example

2) I don't see what frames and centering have to do with each other.
Using frames for the purpose of centering your content is kind of like using a chainsaw to weed your garden...

1) There are rollovers in the first example. They work both in Firefox and in IE. If you go over the gems in the border, you get the menu-item. There's five different items. You can see that by checking the sourcecode. When you roll over one, the div becomes visible. When you roll out, the div becomes invisible again.
When I put everything in the frameset, the divs don't become visible when I rollover them. And off line the links won't even work. (they won't work now either because this is only a testing page online)

edit: the odd thing is that it does all work in IE

2)Because I'm not much good at logical structures. For instance, it took me days and days again to come up with what eventually became a menu consisting of divs with a visibility-swap. And I know the center-by-frame technique works so I'm not inclined to use something else (very human)

But you say you don't see any rollovers...they are definitely there. Or should be. And that's about the whole point of my question.

When I first looked, I had only Mozilla available - the rollovers do not work at all in Mozilla, in either example.

As you state, they do work in Firefox in the first example, but not the second.

Javascript is not my thing at all, so I can't help with that issue.

As for the centering - you're already using tables with deprecated elements, so while there are plenty of better - standards compliant - methods, all you have to do is add align="center" to your table tag to center it....

Well, the rollovers work in IE and in Firefox without frames and most of the people who will ever look at that site will probably use IE. So if I ditch the frames and center the table I guess it should do.
