Can I get some of you guys to review my site, http://www.ensellitis.com.

I did my best to make it compatible with IE, Firefox, and Netscrape...

Thanks in advance.

It looks like a gamer site, but that is ok i guess
It looks old skool, with all that "factory technology" stuff. Put more content in and an mouseover indicator when hovering over the links would be nice.

Here is a list of things i don't like:
-No scalability, fixed size.
-Frames!
-There is no search facility
-There is no indication where i am in the site.
-The content Area is too small.
-A visitor would never know you had some tutorials about "modding"
He or she can only scroll down the tutorials section and hope for the best.
-Site is unfinished without content.
-"Best Viewed with <put in browsername here>" texts are not needed and do look stupid.
Make it work in as many browsers you can.

The code is an table hack without any Document Type Definitionwhich means that it could look realy wacky on some browsers. I see some deprecated tags here and there, in next gen browsers this might break the site. You used stylesheets, with inline styles, with some old school element make up. This could be put all in just one central stylesheet.

conclusion: the site looks good for an '90 style home site. But is not up to par with an modern professional site. For a personal site it is pretty wel done.

you still open for reviews? I have problems!

I get div id=notice in IE6, while it's not the best standard interpreting browser out there I don't think it deserves the message, if you feel it does, you should alter the message to say why.

The black glass tube backgrounds for the navigation bother me, the upper portion of the links blend into the highlight, and the backgrounds imply 3 dimensions but the text is 2d.

overall feel is drab on the colors/saturation, maybe you want that but the spray paint effect is not realized as well as it could be, you could use a displacement map to map it onto that wall behind it, maybe up the opcaity or alter the blending mode to get more realistic.

the tagboard shouter thingie has a lot of saturated spots of color (smilies and icons) that tend to make it jump out/not fit

OVerall it's just a little cold and utilitarian for my taste, boxy, desaturated graphics, plain grey background, and the xp styled scrollbar is a pet peeve of mine, not so much the window bar but overflows embedded in the page bother me for some reason

A lot of that was personal preference stuff and I didn't even look at the markup but I get the impression you're learning that stuff well as you go so why bother? I dunno, you like it? What's your style? I liked this

I have been kinda putting the graphics on the side burner for now... Been trying to get all the other layout done first...

The nav I have been thinking about changing, however, and since you brought it up, I think I'll do that soon.

I am thinking also of removing the current smilies I have, and putting in some greyscale ones instead to kind of blen in to the theme, and yes I want to look to be dark and kinda scary looking, atleast for now, I have a PHP style changer on there, it's just not active, I am going to setup some more themes and such once I am done with everything else. =)

As for the scrollbars, I have to have the shoutbox output overflow because for the life of me I can't get the left nav area to expand the content as well...

That was my fav link icon. =) I made that a year ago, but no body wanted to have it on thier site. =) I am going to use the full animation for some random fun I have been working on...

Thanks for the input.

sounds like you're having fun

on the overflow thing, I don't mind an overflow at all, I was just stating my peeve against the XP styled scrollbars, I use the meta tag

<meta http-equiv="MSThemeCompatible" content="no" />

almost always which keeps me from looking at them on my own XP machines. I shudder at the thought of blue gel Mac scrollbars.
