Topic awaiting preservation: Need help with font identification (Page 1 of 1)

Hi, I'm a complete newbie to this forum, but I have to say it looks pretty cool and very useful.

I hope I'm posting this in the right spot, I couldn't really find anywhere else more appropriate.

I would like some help identifying the font used on this site. The best example I can find of it is probably here.

I have a friend who wants me to make him a sig using this font or one very similar and I've used Identifont and a couple of other sites, but I can't find it.

Try http://www.1001freefonts.com and start looking,t hat is how I find most of mine, or if you want, I have about 5000 fonts in a handy zip, you would still have to go through each one to find it...

I would guess that it is not a font but a custom graphic.

Really shouldn't be that hard to duplicate the effect...

I was afraid that might be the case.

Thanks for your help anyways. I'll have a go at duplicating it, but if anyone finds a similar font in the meantime, please let me know.
