Title says it all. Just wondering if there is a program that can convert MPEG4 files to AVI.

Thanks in advance!

There sure is.

You want virtualdub.

There's also a nifty conversion guide over at videohelp.com. Also, there are a lot of great resources on that site.

alright. thanks for the info. however, my video player thingy will NOT play *.avi files but it will play *.mpg files.

So...i guess i need to convert from AVI to mpeg.

sorry for the confusion and thanks in advance!

Same deal.

Virtualdub should allow you to transcode from whatever format you like. Look on the videohelp site for more information and what other tools to use.

silence,

thanks for the help. looks like my problem was that my RCA Lyra will only play AVI files with MPEG4 encoding. Most of the files i have are MPEG2 encoded. Virtualdub to the rescue.

Thanks!
