The video comes from a French TV show showing many little shows of circus, close up, stand up, illusions, ... and other crazy nuts.

There was a guy who was on Leno a few years back. He had this great big flat keyboard that sat on the floor. We're talking giant keys - like from "Big". Anyways, this guy would use these rubber balls to bounce off the keyboard on the floor, playing notes. He would get a handfull of balls going at the same time, playing some rather astonishing tunes. Impressive.

I remember this floating around a while ago.

It makes me wonder how long it took him to master that.

Those Dave Menendez vids are pretty sweet but somehow I think his keyboard is really just one big key preprogrammed to play a certain note each time the ball hits it.

krets: tsss, you've ruined a myth. Actually, it's like in the movies showing a geek typing at light speed on his/her keyboard.

or hearing about three times as many keyclicks as there are characters coming up on the screen. Now... if said geek was typing in japanese I could understand this... but a perfect example exists in The Negotiator, where the character *sounds* like he's typing at lightspeed, but the text is coming up slowly in the text fields

It happened(?) all the time on my Amstrad 6128. That was funny.

This was a fairly advanced pc. I know that most keyboards these days don't work on microswitches like the old ones did, so *shrug* hence the sound difference.

Horn suits, piano juggling... wake me you've got a vid of someone playing the pan pipe with their flatulence.

Seriously, though, I somehow managed to catch both of those acts on TV (I suppose sufficiently weird stuff makes its way onto Korean TV), and they were pretty cool. The horn guy needs to work on his timing, though--his Vivaldi was spot on, but most of his other pieces were off in an odd way. Not that I could come anywhere close to that, but standards for horn-suited men are just so high today...
