The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

Something strikes me as... not quite right about that animation. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but it looks more like steam coming up from an underlit creavasse than fire. Animators in the CGI Industry have been trying to animate realistic fire for ages now, and few, if any, really succeed at it. But this is good, it's just not... firey. Fire moves in random patterns, according to airflow and different thermal conduction rates of materials around it, and chimney draw points (if any). Cells in the fuel source exploding add another random element to the fire, sendingup sparks here and there. Sparks, that's another thing this lacks. No fire that size just goes up like that. it shift,s it moves and it throws off sparks (which in 3D animation would be timed fading short life-span particles).

I totally agree with Skaarjj about the fact it's really good but doesn't really look like fire yet. Could you possibly make it a bit more "shiny" as well, InI? The other thing is it looks like it's burning a bit too "obediently" straight out of the source, as if it was sourrounded by two invisible barriers on each side.
How about trying to make on single flame? How would it look like?
This shape makes me think of Northern Lights. Might be an idea to develop?

This has probally been done several times already, but
here is the "classical" fire effect in javascript, where
each pixel consist of an arial "."

BTW, do anybody know about a nice, free web hosting with ftp support?
