this is just like the "Free Ipod"

have to have so many of your freinds that you send it to, for them to sign up as well before you get anything.

yeah, do you know if it actually works? 3 for an ipod shuffle, 10 for a minimac according to the site, seems legit but to good to be true at the same time

These are perfectly legit - but work on the principle that so few people will actually satisfy the reasonable-sounding conditions, that the benefits (massive promotional response) will far outweigh the costs... in theory, at least.

It hadn't escaped my notice that you posted your personalised 'invite' link up there. Very naughty. *tsk-tsk*

Didn't look very extensively at the site, but whats a mini-mac? For the longest time I thought there was no way that ipod gig was the real deal, I'm still skeptical as to trying it, but tempted at the same time.

MiniMac is the new, tiny, budget-level computer from Apple. It is about the size of a.... small thing...

It does not come with VDU, mouse, keyboard, etc.

IMO and that of friends, it pretty much rocks. This would qualify as the only Mac I've been tempted to buy.

I won't though.

little G4 with no monitor/keyboard, neat little gadget, it'd be good as a little media center or something

I believe this could very well be legit. The product itself retails at $499.99, but you know their profit margin on these babies is huge. They probably pay about $15-$25 to manufacture them. It is the marketing that costs the most. This way, they could indeed be making out quite well with a marketing system that is viral. I'm sure there is a stringent cut-off date for this however.

To me, this begs the question...could we at the Asylum find a way to rig the system (organize referrals or something) so that as many of us as possible recieved free Apple products...

Of course...this would all be legal...mmmhmmm.

Anyone know of an equivalent for the UK? I really fancy a mini mac, and would be prepared to put up with a bit of spam for one
