I just wish they would make an option so all the tools display under one taskbar icon. I have too many different icons hanging out there now and they are all useful.

daaaaang. I just installed Picasa Dos and I must say... wow. It is looking up all the picture and video files on my computer at the moment... this is too cool.

This looks like a fine replacement for ACDsee. It also appears to have very nice organization...

Why is this free?

I agree Picasa is very nice... But is there a way to run the program without having a picasa.ini file placed in all the folders containing at least one image ?

I find it rather pervasive...

Am I the only one who hates any programs that sort stuff in collections of anyathing? IMO, thats what folders are for. I for one, hate having my music sorted on albums and such rather than by their filename and such. I usually try to label my pictures properly so I won't forget what are they about. Thats why I like stuff like Winamp (save for media library...I like my m3u playlists) and IrfanView better.

Alevice, I kind of agree. I am such an anal person that if my stuff is not organized then I freak out and spend hours organizing it. I do like the captions thing though. That looks pretty cool.

Hey... for the Mac users here... how hoes Picasa 2 compare against Apple's iPhoto?

If anyone has used both, could you tell me how they both feel, or how they fare speed-wise and feature-wise?
