*Disclaimer: Person close to me was hurt severely by a dumb@$$ driver you would need to know more details but i am just venting so if I offend anyone sorry*

WHO THE HELL STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE F&^%$ING ROAD! Just stops. Nobody ahead of them just decides to stop so that they can be a rubber necker and stare at a wreck at the side of the road. IF I FIND THIS F&^%$ER who takes pleasure at staring at peoples misfortune, he will beg for death.

Basically what happened was this guy was stopped they didn't expect someone to be stopped came round the corner and rear ended this guy. The Semi was tall enought that the nose of the car went partially under and the windshield got cracked. Before they can get out another car rear ends them and pushes the car further under. Repeat the process once more. At this point the driver is okay and the passenger's head is completely hidden by the back end of the semi. She is in critical condition. She has started breathing on her own (partially) and will be concious in a week or so. I am going to kill the man in the semi. Just a heads up if he is on here.

First of all, I have sympathy for your position. A terrible thing, certainly. I hope she pulls through, without any lasting psychological or physical effects.

One word of caution : never, ever announce your intention to kill someone, either to others, or in a public forum. I can feel your anger from here, but you need to first start your brain, before lashing out blindly, and publically announcing your intent here.

Remember, the person in question has a price to pay, themselves, both legally and personally. This in no way excuses the situation, and may not allieviate the situation none, but it might calm you enough to get your head back in gear.

You won't help anyone by becoming a murderer, and getting caught and sentenced (which you have a faily good chance of being now).

Instead, pour your energy into that woman in that hospital. Visit her every day, and be there.

My sincere wishes for a 100% recovery for your close friend. My son was rear ended last week because he had to come to a complete stop. A car in front of him had a blowout and was at a complete stop. My son was not hurt at all. Two cars hit him. One on the rear bumper and the side of his car. I thank God he escaped injury. Sometimes it just can't be helped.

I will think of this person in my prayers.

Sangreal, my thoughts are with you and your friend in hospital. Also, WebShaman's words are wise I urge you to heed them, hopefully as this was a "vent" perhaps now the heat of the anger has subsided.

Webshaman, Tao,
Take assurance and solace into the fact that before even reading the posts on here I had already come to the conclusion that if I hurt this guy (which does mean killing him) I will have done the same thing to is family and friends that he has done to me and her family. Besides if i really meant to kill him I wouldn't have posted. I may be american but i am not a complete moron. Funny who those are often synonyms.
TAO: nice quote. Friedrick Nietzche said that. Unfortunately he is also the philosopher that Hitler got alot of thoughts from. (Oh, well). Thank you all for your concern for her I will give yu updates as to her condition from time to time that way you know what your praying about Jade.
She is now breathing for herself partially but has some bad days were she cannot. They expect the drug induced coma to subside Tuesday or wednesday.
She has recently contracted some sort of bacteria that if they hadn't had caught the bugger would have killed her. THEY DID CATCH IT THOUGH. She has no brain damage (lucky lucky girl) and is still recovering sight in her left eye very slowly but they think it won't be permanent. Cross your fingers. Or pray or twirl in circles (if your a whirling dervish). Don't know much else right now.

Very sad and one's best wishes to your friend for her complete recovery.

As one who has attended quite a number of motor vehicle accidents, I would like to hear a lot more detail about this one before I would be willing to condemn the driver of the stopped vehicle though.

As far as i know the only reason that the guy was stopped was that he was staring at another accident that had already happened on the side of the road. You now know all that I know about the accident

Perhaps then you are judging too hastily? He may have HAD to stop, either because the road was blocked or due to police instruction. Perhaps he was stopping to provide assistance. In Canada, it is contrary to the law NOT to stop and provide assistance at an accident.

A new one on me... I do recall something about a 'good samaritan' law being changed or enacted the result of a Doctor who was sued for something like 'providing inadequate care' when he stopped to assist at a crash site. A 'good samaritan' can no longer be sued...wasn't aware it's mandatory to assist and I can't remember if we're talking Federal or Provincial law.

About the rear-ender.... and with no disrespect Sang... I understand the emotions only to well. Certainly, there are exceptions but in most cases it is not the driver of the stationary vehicle who's at fault. ..and as someone back up there^^ said try to divert your 'energies' ..tough tho' it may be, into helping the injured. Making sure their bills are paid... pets fed... food going bad?? all the mundane things of everyday life must still be dealt with. Ask around... if you're not doing it ... who is and ask how you can help.

Ehtheist- Fine provide assistance I have no problems with helping people. But you don't STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. You pull off to the shoulder of it.

At any rate
She can now breathe on her own and is becoming more and more concious. If all went as planned they did the reconstructive surgery on saturday and sunday and she is now on the recovery track. She will be expected to be released in May.

At this point the main worry is still her recovery but another is getting money for the bill. As you guys do not know me personally i don't expect you to donate money so I shall not ask that.(It would be unreasonable and unrealistic). However I was wondering if anybody had any ways that a person with low income and is still a full time student could get cash easy, legal and fast. Ideas already presented: Silent auction, Raffle. All ideas welcome.Thanks.
