yo im trying to send emails from my page using the mail command (mail()) but for some reason this wont send to homtail accounts, now i know my script is good cos it sends to other providers so i was wondering if this was php or if my host (lycos) had blocked it so i couldnt send it to homtail

p.s. i posted this a bit ago but i worded it badly i think, i have a form with a text area <textarea></textarea> and im wondering how to make it so that returns work when it is sent beacuse when u sent it it just comes out as one line and im having problems, nething else about stuff like how the add bold italic underline and the other buttons how they work i would like to know aswell

Can you provide us with a bit more of your problem.

- What type of emails are you trying to send ?
- Are the emails being sent to hotmail being returned with an error code ? if so, what is the error ?

If you are trying to send mulitpart/alternative I believe hotmail usually blocks alot of these since the believe they are spam.


As for your other question, I believe it was answered. Someone suggested that you use nl2br() which will convert the New Line characters in the text area to <BR> tags. Anything beyond that, I have no idea what you are asking. Please reword it.

im just trying to send an email and nothing hapens that i can see, no error code or nething and iv checked the junk inbox too

the bit about the line breaks dosent seem to work unless u put in the \n im meaning that when u submit sumthing from a form it gets stored in ur database as one line beacause it dosent record formatting in forms so if sombody where to post somthing like iv done here on more than one line it would only come out as one line
