Just a quick question... why was the XML-XHTMLCSS-DOM, etc section renamed back to All Browsers Suck?

because I was pissed at the browsers.
It was named all browsers suck before, and I was also wondering how long it would take till somebody noticed the change
(after all, no body has asked about the backwards and onwards links yet to my knowledge.).

Feel free to change it back, I was just feeling whimsical ;-)

IIRC the backwrads/onwards links were in the TODO, but indeed they came and nobody commented them.

suggestion: we should merge the javascript and the css forum.

have one for client side scripting and one for server side scripting.

Isn't it the purpose of the DHTML/Javascript and Server-Side Scripting - Oh my! forums ?

If the MS want to fine tune the name of the forums, then the DOM might be moved into the DHTML/Javascript forum. It could be nice to precise where Flash related threads should be as it's not crystal clear now.

CSS and JS are too completely different topics. Ok CSS properties can be altered in JS, but CSS is a real subject in itself. Many people have some problems with CSS that are totally independant from JS. If CSS were to be moved, it'd probably be better within the Stupid Basic HTML than in the DHTML/Javascript.

Whatever, the Asylum has worked that way for years. Moving or renaming 1 or 2 topics should have little impact.

Yeah, I'd say HTML/XHTML/CSS should be one.

The 'browser' issues don't need a seperate forum, IMO - they shuold go under whichever are the correspond to (js browser issues in js, css browser issues in css)

we could eliminate the section altogether, and help clear up any confusion.

Good point DL-44, but the XML, XSL, XSLT topics are on the edge between script, markup and presentation. Damn!!

oops, forgot about that part

but the moves would be good. xml/xsl/xslt could remain their own forum, and things would be much clearer overall.

I say just have a general CSS/HTML/XHTML/XML forum - some XML issues may come up in other forums but CS might appear in DHTML, etc. so I wouldn't worry too much about potential cross overs.
