In the same spirit, not long ago the US government took measures to allow salmon producers to label their products as natural even if they were raised in pools. The government has allowed these sea-born sites to be set right in the path of major wild salmon migration routes. As the farms produce huge quantities of pollutants and attract sea-lice in devastating quantities, the wild salmon runs have all been wiped out in several locations and heavily damaged in others. Federal DFO scientists have come forward to say they too were forced to alter their findings in these regards. The provincial and federal government of course deny this. The cynical reader will not be amazed to learn both government receieve impressive donation to their pasrty coffers from these fish-farm operators, all of whom are extra-national.
