OK, I've got a tough one for everybody. I have scoured the net trying to find the answer to no avail. So I am hoping everyone here on Ozone can help.

I have four thumbnails on the side of my webpage. I then have one larger image in the middle. On my server I have larger images for all four thumbnails as well....waiting to be involked.

I would like to click on thumbnail 1, have appear as the larger image in the cetner and the previous larger image (which I have a thumbnail for) that WAS there replace the thumbnail that I just clicked on.

Anyone got any advice? This one has drivin me nutz.

Tony

Hello and welcome in the Asylum.

Sure it can be done in DHTML. But I'm in a CSS mood tonight. CSS 3 :target pseudo class anyone ? Why not having Fun with :target ?

Anyway, check the Frequently Asked Questions, the DHTML answer to your problem is certainly there.

Also note that while CSS3 is awesome, it's not supported by all browsers yet - only by Mozilla's browsers and Safari.

CSS3 is still a working draft. So until it becomes a recommendation or specification, or if the number of images is pretty high, we'll have to use some JS to do that sort of things.
