It all depends on how many articles you write and how popular they are. One month you could just get 5-10 dollars, another 50-75. The possiblities actually are limitless

No tutorials, I write those. Informative articles that contain good information. Don't get too into it now, this won't be starting until 2 months.

I mailed you via the board but have had no response, my main concern is the copyright to the original work, secondly could you explain exactly how your pay scale works?

Isn't an informative article on graphic design considered a tutorial, pretty much?

But if you are going to get people interested, you need to be more descriptive on what you are asking for... So far all I know is an informative article... And that can cover alot of different genres; like tutorials, walkthroughs, reviews, troubleshooting, reference, and a whole lot more... Before you even get started on this you need to set down some guidlines, rules, and how exactly this program is going to work

YEAH... what Ensellitis said!!

We need more detail. By 'Informative Article' the first thing that comes to my mind is I could write a really 'informative article' on Bee Stings in the Southern Hemisphere and while I'm at it a nice 'informative article' on Chipmunk Bladders really outta rock the crowd!!!

Kiroshi: I did indeed get your mail, I apologize, was checking the wrong place and I've been operating under the assumption that you're someone else as well (hiroki). My brain's not in order.

Anyhow, I'm not really interested but you do need to clarify your revenue palan *in writing* before you'll get anyone to sign on I'd imagine. I also asked about copyright, you did not address that in your reply at all, anyone writing for you will/should want to know your copyright policy as well, in fact, that's probably the most critical aspect of it.

Good luck!

There's going to be an authors page, and the end of the article it will say Copyright (Author Name). I wrote this up the other day when the power was out..

Writing Articles for Pixelayer.com

You?ll be writing about anything within these main topics. Graphic Design, Computer Maintenance, and Website Maintenance. Any possible topic within these genres is fine. If you are unsure about a topic, contact me and I?ll let you know. The articles must be lengthy but at the same time easy to read. You need to have good information that people will WANT to read about. As of now, I?m just accepting articles, NO TUTORIALS.

The articles will be published at the beginning of each month, no later. It is recommended that you have your articles written and emailed to me before this time, so I can read over them and edit them. A hit counter will be placed on each article?s page. There will also be an ?Authors? page where you can see all of the articles you have written up.

You will be paid at the end of the month. How much money you get depends on how much traffic the pages get, and how much income the ads on that page bring in. The more articles you write, the more money you will make. Don?t be worried about Pixelayer?s traffic, we average 1.5k visitors per day, and it?s increasing each month. I can?t really give you an idea of how much money you?ll make each month. There are a lot of variables. Some months you could get 5-10 dollars, some months you could get 75-100. It all depends. Don?t expect a lot of money if you write 1-5 articles.

Payments will be sent out via PayPal, however, if you do not have PayPal account I will send you a check, but I?ll need to get your information first. I?d prefer you to have a PayPal account.

Blog Hosting

I will host blogs completely free of charge. I will provide you with a Content Management System where you can manage and run your blog. You have two options for addresses, either have a http://www.pixelayer.com/yournamehere or http://www.yournamehere.pixelayer.com . The only catch is that there will be one or two text ads placed on the blog. I will also have access to your blog?s admin area, and all the activity will be monitored. No profanity/sexual content is allowed. WHAT_SO_EVER.

I'll tell you right off the bat, I would not sign up for this if you are going to have access to the admin area... Monitoring is ok, and being able to lockout the users incase of term violation or any other reason in ok, but you having complete access would totally turn me away in an instant. I would just go to another blog hosting site...

So if someone posts something unintentionally that is against a rule and needs to be changed IMMEDIATLY, I shouldn't be able to go in and change it? It's not like I'm reading every single thing, I just need to be able to make changes when changes need to be made.

That is when you need to lock out the page (I.E., hide the page the post is on) and inform them they need to change it... I'm just saying that I would not like anyone being able to access my site, even if they were my host. Shifter for example, I gave him some space, and I have NO access to it at all, however I can quickly hit one button and no one can see anything on his page whatsoever, but I can not go into his admin area, FTP, or PHPmyadmin at all. And I only block something if it is illegal and can get me in trouble. Further more, you can protect yourself by having them digitally sign an agreement that anything they post on the blog is thier responsibility, and they will deal with the consequences of thier actions...

OT: JKMabry, What do I need to make your sig smaller than twice the viewing distance of my screen? This is what it looks like to me.
