Been a bit demented lately so...

Other background and requesting opinion. Looks like I may need to work on the shading at the bottom, perhaps move or remove the text, and maybe one or two other things..

I would remove the text altogether.

Not much else to say - absolutely love it.

( reminds me, my first sig was actually a 'hole in the asylum', though without the wonderful touch you've got here -

How about 'tattooing' your name on your fingers? Looks great as is... but it might work.

Thanks for the words. Your sig DL and more recently Sloloem's was inspiration for the feel of this one. I'll try the finger tattoo but I'm not too sure about that yet, I may well remove the text after all.

yeah tao nix the text its not needed, omg jung great minds think likely .. i was going to do a polaroid too! now ill have to think of something original! :P ... now where did i put those pills...

Good idea Jung I like the polaroid effect.
I tried to make the text look like a tattoo on my fingers, but did not care for it much, so I think I'll send this one over to the other thread now as I'm not too sure when I'll be back online next, and I don't want to forget to submit something again.

I think this is the final version, well perhaps?

tao+mahjqa: excellent ideas and realisation.

Jung: nice idea too, but IMHO the dithering and lack of colors are not making justice to the effect. With a better palette ( not necessarily more colors ), and improved dithering it should look even better.

mahjqa - more like 'hypnotic' ... that is, after i realised there's something to see in the flash, it took a huge effort to take my eyes off the image.

mahjqa: The vraious faces you do are difficult to see. It'd great if you did several versions of your sig. One with just some casual faces, another doing a pig faces, ... and serve them randomly like reitsma did with his rock/paper/scisor sig.
