And you'll forgive me if I correct a common error (one that a lot of Koreans make as well): Hangul (or hangeul) is the writing system used to express the Korean language, it is not the Korean language itself (which is called hangugeo or hangungmal). I am always surprised when I hear Koreans talk about "speaking Hangul." That would be like "speaking the alphabet." Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Now I feel like a pedantic cad. Oh, wait...
