Hi Guys, I haven't visited for ages.
I just moved hosting companies so I made a bunch of corrections to my site and added some new products. I uploaded the pages to the new host but when I put in the url I only get the old site.
The domain people tested and it's going to the new location alright but I just can't see it.

The new site has ph balance and green food on the navbar - the old site doesn't.
I cleared the cache on my firefox browser, that didn't do it.
I need to test the new products and check the site but it's hard to do that when you can't see it !
This really doesn't make any sense to me at all. But I did make some corrections to a friend,'s site recently and she kept swearing I hadn't done it - so I guess the same thing happened to her - she was stuck on the old pages.
It's a mystery!

I can see the new site as you describe it at the URL you provided. It's possible your service provider's DNS servers haven't updated and you're still looking at the old site. If you just recently transferred the domain, as it sounds like you have, it can take a couple days for the change to propagate.

What this means in layman's terms is that, even though you've changed your domain to point to a new host, not every server knows it yet and some think it's still supposed to point to the old host.

Give it a little time and try again.

Thanks for the explanation Wes.
I still can't see the new site this morning and I took all the old files off the old host, so where is my server - that would be verizon, the people I pay for cable, right?, getting the old files from??? It has to be cache, right?
I read somewhere that Google was caching more and more. If they do that, will they be serving up out-of-date pages for ages until they spider again?

If you're going to your URL, Google has nada to do with it. They don't serve up anybody's sites. You will only see pages cached by Google if you click for the cached version. (Example.)

If you've cleared your browser's cache and you're still seeing the old site, I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Anybody else have ideas?

I also see what appears to be the 'new' site.

It could still be a DNS issue at this point.
What you have to worry about is the ISP through which you are accessing the internet, not the web host. Sometimes it does take a few days.

One thing to try is to access the site via the ip address instead of the domain name.
