Topic: review for appraisal site layout (Page 1 of 1)

I have layout out the basics of what I want the page to look like and I was hoping to get some feed back on the header graphic and the color choices. I was also looking for some help with a small coding issue. In IE i cannot seem to get rid of the extra space at the bottom of the header. I have looked through the codes a couple of times and can't seem to figure out what is wrong with it so the help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm... I would probably go with something a little more straightforward for the header graphic. The way it is now, the name of the company isn't really clear. Yes, I know that you have the name in large black letters running in an arc across the photo, but at first glance I couldn't tell what "Smith Parke" was supposed to be. It could be the name of a gated community for all I know. I have a tendency of coming to the most stupid of all possible conclusions when it comes to design ambiguities, but I think it's safe to say that the header does not say what it needs to say: that this is the website of Smith Parke Appraisal Co. of Central Florida.

As for the color choices, well, the colors aren't outrageous, if that's what you were wondering. Don't have too much else to say on that front.

I will leave the coding issue for inmates with a better handle on that sort of stuff.

I don't see any space at the bottom of the header in IE - what version are you using?

sorry about that I have fixed the problem I just havent posted about it yet because I was still working on the page

I think you need to find a better place, or at least a better way to present the address. The title looks kinda funny since it is also listed on the awning in the header pic. I agree with Suho about the header too. I think the colors are fine, but I'd bring the red into the page more. Maybe make it the link color?
