Finally... a (somekind of) serious attempt
I left almost everything that didn't seem to be neccessary or relevant for what I want to show - it's focused on my artwork
(the gallery is still incomplete)
flash-gallery will be added when the remaining parts are finished

Some issues:
- transparency for the backgrounds are only available for Mozilla browsers
Opera should work too but unfortunately only does when identified as Mozilla
- I had to stick to table design and solved only a few things by css. I will have to find more time to revise that
- css is loaded directly - still have problems with php /w css-header
- not fully W3C-valid up to now!

I would really appreciate feedback from MAC or Linux users - these platforms aren't available for me

Wow! All those comments tell me that the page has to be one hell of kick-ass (what I just do not believe...)
Or there's nothing more left to say 'bout it than I already did for myself ...

nah...people are just busy. I check stuff here rarely anymore. At any rate:

1. Yes the navigation is hard to spot at first. maybe just a different color for the menu stuff. Grey on grey is hard to see. Also, maybe space the menu items out a bit more. Home and Artwork bump up against each other

2. Don't mess with my cursor! I like the pointing arrow

3. First page (home) Not much to say there. Just tells me it's an online portfolio. That's fine. The tribal symbol thing in the middle doesn't really go with the Oriental style font you got for your name. kazroot sound oriental to me and the font kind of looks it too.

Moving on to artwork....

4. looks like it is a subdomain? OK. But how do I get to other pages from here?

5. Not sure what the deal is but some of the images cover up the title of the site and the background does not expand if the image is large than it lengthwise. Looks kind of bad.

6. I see that you have some tables in there. Not sure why, but you could do this kind of site pretty easily using all CSS.

I really dig some of the art. Pretty cool stuff. Since that is the main focus on the site, I would really work on presenting that better. A slide show is fine for somethings but with something like this, I think you need more. Title of the piece, what medium you used, what are some the techniques maybe, some of the inspiration of why you did it. Not sure but just some images for an online portfolio just kind of misses the point IMHO.

OK...hope that helped *some* at least

For sure - a lot!

Unfortunately you visited my page at a disadvantageous unfinished moment.
It was somekind of reviewable when I submitted my first post.
I set up the subdomain at that time and couldn't finish it.
Therefore quite a lot elements were unavailable

As I gave my page some color I hope it can be spotted a bit better.
I'm thinking of replacing the links with larger images

I see and agree

well, that's something I do agree with, too but since it took so much time to create it I'll leave it for now.

Yay, another sideeffect of my insane reprogramming. I didn't notice that - thank you!

I definitely will convert my tables into CSS when the page may be called complete in some way...

Very good points!
I'm still working on the concept of how to show more information about the images.
Concerning the low number of images - the missing navigation was another victim of the artwork's move
There are over 50 images of different categories left to be uploaded.

I'm sorry that I ripped your post apart with quotes - not the finest but the fastest way to reply since I'm all about completing this page right now
Thank you for your constructive comments!
