I was wanting to test out using Mambo CMS on my home computer. Everything was going fine, I created the database, un-tarred the files and moved them over to the web root. Went to the directory in browser (localhost/Mambo/) and it started the rest of the install. Just like it said it would.

Then, it labled a few directories that needed to be writable. No big deal. Went to a command prompt and changed the permissions on those directories and files it listed. Clicked "Next" and BAM! Blank page.

So.....went back and tried it again. Same thing.

Then, completely removed the Mambo directory, deleted that database and started all over. This time, it would not go into the install. Blank pages all over again. So...has anyone experienced this? Only things I did was what I listed above. Strange indeed.

Anyway, I'd really like to try this out localy before actually using it on a site.

Thanks in advance!
