I'm confused the evening news didn't open on that and they pretend to be journalists.

I see Bush and his supporters are trying all the "dirty little tricks" to get other stuff in the news, besides body bags in Iraq, a nuclear crisis in Iran (that is not going well), and stalled North Korean talks, not to mention that Mother camping on the border to his Ranch demanding a personal meeting!

Yup, business as usual.

I keep reading on page 5 in the newspaper of deaths in Afganistan again. We have two wars we are curretly fighting and neither look to be going well. This should be the news every day all day long, not some crap about a new cook.

The only way the chef is news worthy in a time of war is if they were actively involved in the death of some dignitary.

Page 5? Shit, my paper hasn't even been covering it anymore.

As for the nuclear crisis in Iran, seems like a lot of pre-invasion fear mongering and propaganda is going on, not to mention the little contingency plan Cheney is setting up. I really hate to think of us going in there, and the more rhetoric I hear from our politicians the more likely it seems.

As for the chef story, big news! Doubleplus good. Hopefully there will be a lot of coverage and a full detail of select dishes to be served. Maybe they'll be as good as the dishes being served to the vacationers at Gitmo.
