I'm trying to fit 6 menu items into a 750px Nav Bar. Each menu on the Nav Bar is 125 px long. Unfortunatly one of the menu items is just a little bit too long to fit and when I bold the text on it, it becomes longer than 125px. What can I do about this? I even tried the word-spacing tag, there must be another way!

Thanks,

- font-size seems the most obvious...
- letter-spacing
- get rid of the fixed-width nav bar
- change the wording of the menu item

but no matter what you do, the user is in ultimate control of the font-size, so in reality all bets are off anyway

Is your text becoming bold on rollover? such as a property on the a:hover selector?

I wouldn't recommend doing this as the size of the font does change and this can cause effecrts such as you've mentioned. I'd like to reiterate Dl-44's point in that the user could also resize the font size for your page and teh results would be the same, it's always worth rewording or building a nav with felxibility of space in mind.
