Am currently experiencing a strange a phenomenon, our server which runs Norton AV is stripping of all Yahoo attachments. This occurrence is not happening if the emails r sent from any other email account like hotmail etc.
Anyone has an idea what?s causing this?

Do you mean that emails are arriving in Yahoo inboxes without their attachments, or they have attachments and NAV isn't letting you download them?

From binary's description, it is not emails arriving in yahoo. It is emails FROM yahoo going to his server. Is this correct, binary?

Stop using Norton, it's a POS.

I was going to send myself something from my yahoo account to outlook with nav but Yahoo is currently bogged down to the point of unuseable, very unusual and strange since you mention this.

I'll give it a whirl later if it hasn't been figured out by then.

I wanted to help

update: just sent and received no problem. Yahoo scans attachments with NAV before they go out as well it would appear. Again, no trouble whatsoever here using a zipped psd as the attachement.

Thanks guys.

Thats right briggl.

The NAV at our server is stripping of the attachments; reason being they are infected by W32.Mytob@MM.

I have run the removal tool but still this has not helped.

Tried configuring NAV to leave the file alone but still this doesnt help.

reisio:- To stop using NAV is not an option.

Any suggestions?
