I've recently installed an Acrobat update and now my firewall is reporting that acrord32.exe is trying to connect to 68.142.120.41:HTTP which works out to be limelight content delivery soemthing or others (http://www.limelightnetworks.com/).

I can't find any information on these 2 being in any kind of partnership so I'm a little paranoid about allowing that traffic. I can see it being feasible that they've got something legit going on but whatever's up is difficult to ferret out on Google theis Tuesday Oct 18...

You can embed Quicktime, and I'm not sure, maybe flash. If you can't embed Flash yet it's sure to be coming with Adobe acquiring Macromedia.

It's probably one of those in the pdf you're viewing.

It tries to connect to somethin everytime it opens, regardless of the PDF's contents. Piece of crap.

Also:
http://12.120.5.17/
which works out to AT&T Worldnet's netblock, not entirely helpful but I'd assume it's the same limelight thing after looking at the url in a browser.

everything connects these days don't it?! meh.

Don't know who or what LimeLightNetworks.com is, but my SygatePro just caught, an Executable file change, in my Adobe GoLive CS1 as it was calling out on my machine. I don't think I have updated anything, other then MS secruity Patchs, and none of my virus checkers or spyware apps, have caught anything.

One of my email accounts has been receiving several Win32.Mytob.EO!zip embeded messages daily. But as far as I know, they have been caught, but EZ Antivirus. But perhap a full system scan tonight would be inorder just in case.

Keep us up to date if you find it's something dangerous.
