Please note, this is NOT advertizing, I'm just proud

Some of you might remember that I was heavily involved in rebuilding the poker community http://www.pokerroom.com/pokah/ a while back.

Now we've released the next major thing http://www.pokerroom.com/teams/ For those of you that play online poker, this is team based poker tournaments... Brand spanking new concept where you form a team, play a series of tournaments (a League), the team earns points and the pot is divided to the teams based on accumulated points from the tournaments played during the League.

As a team owner you get to place your teams players in the tournaments and you can see who the other teams placed, sort of a manager in a football/hockey game

We (5-6 ppl) has been at it since August, I've not coded on this beast, but I've managed the project and have been heavily involved in realizing the concept and making sure that all pieces fit together.

So, end of bragging I just wanted to show you guys & gals what I've been up to
/Dan

very very cool,
gratulations to all of you!

the 'how does it work?' page probably shouldn't have just 'index' as <title>, should it?

so long,

Thanx all
There are a bunch of small errors here and there, but there has been surprisingly few real bugs after a really major release like this.

Some panicky things to fix just after release, but now all the major things are fixed and I'll have a relaxing weekend

I know, it went official a couple of days back.
The austrian company BetAndWin which is focused on sportsbetting is buying all of Ongame and it's network of pokerrelated services including the main site PokerRoom where I work.

It's 5 main owners in Ongame and they are getting to share appr 40% of the mentioned ?470+ million in cash, plus stocks, one of them net's appr 1.4 billion SEK out of this... not bad for something that started back in 1997 as a simple playmoney poker site

it's big business, that's for sure

interesting. that ongame company runs 5 poker-sites, right? isn't the poker game pretty much the same? so what's the difference between the 5 sites?

Let's put it this way.

Ongame provides a network where clients can hook up their sites in order to quickly provide poker against thousands of other pokerplayers in the network.
All in all there are a lot more than 4-5 sites that uses our network to provide poker to their customers.

Should you run a big site and want to tap into the poker venue to make some money, you can get a branded pokerclient from us and hook up to our network. For a fee naturally

Asides from this, since Ongame started as the site PokerRoom we naturally have a department that utilizes the network to provide poker. That department is called Ongame Brands, that's where I work.

You can read up on the ongame company and the brands department here: http://www.ongame.com/brands/

Info other than what's provided through our site is something that I naturally can't provide
