Hello

I don't know if we started such a topics before, but I felt like initiating such a one to share my frustration of today.

What's more ugly than:

1. taking the bus to work, then you see a fight in the bus where the driver get his ass kicked, then all passengers hurry out of the bus
2. you try to take a cab to work, then you get into a small argument w/ the cab, and you get kicked out
3. you finally arrive work, to see a new employee sitting next to your desk and making all those sort of freaky and scary noises!!!

help me god, this isn't going well

so...what's "more ugly than..." for you?

Regards,
Elias

Starting a new career at 49, getting the new (very complicated) process working as intended, just to have the operation sent to Mexico (and the plant closed) to save the Corp. labor costs.

Go NAFTA.

1. Paying fortune to travel to work (plus extra bus fare because "outside the zone!" - we're talking £300, per MONTH!)

2. Standiing or sitting on floor of aforementioned expensive 'public transport' (think there's some more room at the back, can you breath in, and nobody fart!)

3. a. Getting to the train station, being BUMPED aside by pushy guy who absolutely, positively, must get INFRONT of me by that all important ONE step on the escalator!

3. b. Followed by a torrade of swearing (me) - feigned shock (him) - more swearing (er, me)

4. Followed by him KICKING me as I attempt to saunter past...

KICK ME?

KICK ME???!!!

Gggggrrrrrrrrrr!

*great way to start the day*

kitty: £300? 300 QUID???

If I had to pay £300 a month to travel to bloody work, I would have exactly.... £180 left on 1st of each month, of which you can take off about another £50 in average for credit card repayment. That would be about £33 A WEEK to EAT without doing anything else. No night out, no clothes, no music purchase, no extra, nothing. No even a f***ing newspaper (not to mention bloody Xmas prezzies)

Thank God I don't have to pay that amount to travel a month, as somebody very generously picks me up and drops me off everyday. Without his help, I would be paying £3 for train and 2 * £5 for taxi fares a day, which would be just around £260 a month, and I would have £40 a week to live on.

I currently have a Graphic Designer title within the company and studied for 5 years after school.

Now THAT is ugly to me.

lallous: thanks for this rant thread, I feel better now

Happy Christmas!

flying to Virginia every Monday
fighting Washington, DC traffic in the morning to get to work
working 10 hours every day
fighting Washington, DC traffic in the evening to eat at a restaurant and go to the hotel
flying home to Connecticut every Friday

EVERY WEEK

except for those weeks that I:

fly to some other state on a Monday
do the same fighting (with less traffic) between work and the hotel every day
then flying home on a Friday two-three weeks later

I like flying but man that would suck, I always get stuck sitting between some crying child, and that guy with the flu or head cold. The security checks have realy got to suck, expecially between DC and virginia.

Wow, makes me feel a little blessed. Things can always be worse.

~upper lip curled...snarley voice~

Oh ya....step outside and say that!

=)

When you look at my 'From'... I be tellin' ya truth my brotha's! =)

Always figured I could make a killing with a bumpersticker " Sooke... The Land of One Headlite On" The local chamber of commerce does not of course see the humour value .

And to reinforce the 'rural' of it all... should someone arrive on our doorstep unannounced I usually greet them with" Geez... if weed knowed yuze cumin' weedz gone townside for that 50 cent hot bath they got there."

Harbor cam 1 I think works... and that's pretty much what's at the end of my street... and that would be a hefty 600 'strides.' At most. =)

btw.... if you don't take too many of those hot baths... you don't get too many of those unannounced doorknockers... and that kinda suits me just fine. =)
