Topic: connecting flash page to xml file (Page 1 of 1)

Hi guys,

for one of my projects this year my group and I are trying to connect an fla file to and xml file. What it will be is an interactive map that allows users to type in a room number and have the map located which room it is. So far we have created the interface for the page and the xml file that we will be using. Our only concern is that we are not sure what we should use to link the two together or how it should be done. What the flash should be able to do is to locate the room number in the xml file, then use this as a pointer to an image that will change on the flash page. If anyone has any kind of background in this area my group and I would greatly appreciate the help.

I have already tried to do this, but it was with SWiSH, which is slightly different, and never really managed to do what I wanted to do...

in flash, press F1, type "XML" in the search box and you should get to a tutorial, that explains exactly what you want to do.
