Been showing that to my kids for the last few weeks and it scares the hell out of my daughter, freaky Schprockets Hasslehoff music.

Then on the news a few nights back I see there's someone in town here that has done the same thing but has a big marquee front and center that tells you what radio station to tune to in order to sync up. That's amazing, I'm waiting for the how-to web page so I can do up my living room

Oh man that is totally awesome and the music in the first vid works so well, but does anyone what the music is called and by who ? i would love to get hold of it

It is like a hybrid of Metallica meets the soundtrack of Home Alone

I'm guessing it's Mannheim Steamroller or Trans-Siberian Orchestra or something similar.

It's Trans-Siberian Orchestra "Wizard of Winter"

Unfortunately the guy who did this had to stop the display because there was a car accident as people were driving by. He had told his neighbors and the community before hand if it caused any issues he'd stop it.

He actually had a low powered radio station playing the music so you could listen as you drove by.

I do not recall. I don't really watch tv, it was on while I was reclining and wirelessly vegging out on the other evil screen based device thingie.

I do think I recall the radio frequency being 92 point something if that helps at all

ooh ooh wes wes! I'm studying that, I'm so on that.

edit: ARGH. Sorry zaer, according to the last item in the FAQ the "radio station frequency" is probably not going to help you at all. I was wondering how the guy was synching it to *radio*, he didn't, it's programmed and he transmits the songs on a low power fm transmitter. I wonder how rich the LOR people are going get and how many people will be running these shows next season? Eye, gimme a jingle, we can start booking advance gigs for installations next year, clean up! After we wire my living room of course.

Alright JK, I found the house. Take Council to Wilshire, and head west a short bit... turn left into the neighborhood with all the lights, and drive around back until you find the house. If you head left into the neighborhood, its a few streets down on the right.

I really like what he did this the large christmas lights covering the roof. We need to find a cheap way to interface with the computer. Once we got that covered it should be cake.

Now if we could write a program that could sync with music already on the radio... heh... that would rock. But I doubt it could be nearly as intricate. Maybe that would be okay?

Our chap does transmit, I think 92.1 Fm. He has 4 songs in the rotation i believe... nothing that rocks out all that much, but it is pretty cool.

Good link Wes, Also, I saw that video on a beer commercial. Quality of the recording was *much* better.
