OK class, this weeks assignment is a show and tell of photographs taken over the holiday period. Initially I was thinking Yuletide, but I think we will broaden the scope to any holidays, though I would like to see some christmas shots if possible. Especially hot Christmases in hot climates.
Guidelines this way: POW (Photo of the Week}

"It was a dark & stormy...." =) Actually it was broad daylight and still scarey. Dec 22nd I think.
That's not me and that's not the half of it. This was all done in a windstorm as the ground was heaving 8 inches or so...nothing quite like the sound of roots snapping deep underground.

I can't say enough about my neighbour. This is the 2nd time in 4 years he has saved our butts in rather dramatic fashion.

So my xmas present this year was a brand spankin new Stihl... 16 inch bar.... next years firewood.

Well Tao, seems like work is the order of the holiday period for Asylumites

Actually, we did have a great Christmas Day; and a rerun the next day for our married kids that had other obligations for Christmas dinner. They spent the last two years with us so figured that inlaw harmony would be best served by swapping families on the 25th this year.

NoJive, can you pick the next weeks subject please?

I think you're right Ian, well they do say there is no rest for the wicked.
I'm sorry I have not had a lot of time to spend here recently, and it looks like my camera is on the blink.
Gone out locally to take some photos and the camera acted like the batteries were just going dead. Turning itself off after a few seconds, needing to completey reset the time. It appears that it would be about £100 to fix and the camera is hardly worth that now. I#m hoping it is just the cold weather as I've heard that digital cameras can misbehave in the cold.
I'm away for a few days so I'll catch up when I get back.
