I've taken pottery recently in school and done better than the other students. these are my best pieces from first semester after building dumb pinch-pots and hand-built pieces.

i'm working on some other harder forms now but haven't been too successful with the glazing.

anyways just some c&c would be nice, even if it's not the right forum. It's an art forum right? haha. this is probably the most relaxing activity on the face of the earth. and i love the tangibility of it. I feel mroe alive doing this than drawing.

i mean general critiques: i didn't get hard edges on the inside of the rims, diversity forms (working on it now. I can throw two-foot cylinders now but don't have anything to show for it). Glazes - can't do much about that, we're pretty much limited at school and the teacher buys the cheapest glazes he can.

I like it cfb, especially the cup with it's board, and I feel you're indeed talented.

Never having done anything with pottery myself, I can't really offer any useful criticism. But those pieces look really nice. You may have a way to go, as you say, but it definitely looks like you've made a good start.

I'm guessing the bowls were done on a wheel, right? How about the cup in the last photo? What technique did you use for that? It doesn't look like it was thrown...

Anyway, your pieces have a solid, earthy feel to them. Nice work.

Not being a potter, I can`t get techie with ya, but I like them. Is the first one a trivot ? I especially like the cup and saucer. They look like they are made to be used, rather than displayed. Keep with it.

Let's drag rude down to the basement and introduce them to the chair and octopuss

I dig the third bowl there. Woman would love it
