I use Ubuntu, but I believe it's related to Debian, to get my wlan card working I used ndisWrapper with the windows drivers, there's loads of information about ndisWrapper on the net, let me know if you need more info. |

Did the exact same thing (ndiswrapper) on my debian install to get a d-link card going. |

hmm weird, I did have some problems getting it to auto boot when I installed my drivers for teh first time, but I did find a way around it, there's an Ubuntu Wiki entry that I followed through and it got it all working for me |
