testing...

google->toast
google->Bill Clinton
google->"Mauro Colella"
google->Mauro+Colella

Okay.
May I suggest a java namespace? <runs off to find cool searchable references...>

Yeah! Found this: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/index.html

I'd love to see other namespaces, personally.
more suggestions:
- wikipedia
- imdb (for movies)
- dictionaries, for language references
- Amazon, for books

google->Ini+Outi

Edit: That is moderately cool.

yeah, they're easily updated... just get me a namespace to url list (and I'd prefer a 'replaceblae' url, ie. where I can simply replace the querystring/part of the url with the right hand side of the link definition, like php->Something turns into php.net/something

so long,

->Tyberius Prime

Yeah, of course, mundo coolness:

For the j2sdk, it's easy but a tad special:
base url: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/
sample url: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/awt/geom/CubicCurve2D.html
querystring : "java.awt.geom.CubiCurve2D"

(the Java doc totally matches the Java API / Java tree)

For wikipedia:
base url: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
sample url: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_Inch_Nails

For www.dictionary.com, it's exactly like google, q=...
base url: http://dictionary.reference.com/
sample url: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=test

For Amazon, it seems to be a huge pain in the ass, so for now, I'll have a coffee, and will check that later.
Let me know if it's possible and if I should provide more details.

And "anybody" who has an interesting reference to a massive data libraries like the ones above should shout out now. (useful stuff, public stores, reliable info services, anything goes..)

A few I made when making my uber awesome badass internet start page.

http://www.imdb.com/Find?for={artist, movie title, whatever, exclude the brackets obviously}

http://www.weather.com/search/search?where={region}

http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?platform=0&game={game}

http://messenger.msn.com/redirs/VIEW_PROFILE.asp?passport={hotmail account}

EDIT:

http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?P=amg&opt1=1&sql={artist}

You can change opt1 value for the following:

1 = Artists
2 = Albums
3 = Songs
4 = Styles
5 = Labels

You cannot ommit opt1

Amazon
